Itodo explains Abia derby celebration

Abia Warriors playmaker, Cletus Itodo, has revealed that support from Enyimba’s select group of fans, fondly called “Colombia” necessitated his celebration after scoring the only goal in the first-ever Abia derby in the Premier League which earned his team victory.
Against all odds, newly-promoted Warriors, which have remained under the shadows of Enyimba since their formation in 2003, shattered the invincibility of the two-time African champions at their fortress.

Itodo stole the ball outside the Enyimba area and fired a salvo beyond the reach of Chijioke Ejiogu in goal.
“I enjoyed massive support from the Colombia stand during my Enyimba days and still maintain contact despite my exit from the club.
“After scoring on my return to Aba, I decided to give them a military salute and it was appreciated,” Itodo said to supersport.com.
Itodo was one of the former Enyimba players on parade for Abia Warriors in the match.
