Its time to give young people chance- Kogi lawmaker

Member representing Idah constituency in Kogi state House of Assembly, Hon Suleiman Atajachi Musa has declared that it is time to give young people chance as he declared of his intention not to re-contest after the expiration of his current tenure in 2023.

The lawmaker made this known in a statement made available to journalist in Lokoja the Kogi state capital on, Thursday.

According to him, “For the records, I have served as a councilor and at same time council leader in 1990. I was privileged to be council chairman in 1997.

“I was chosen by God to be a permanent member one of person board in the year 2005. I got an uplift an I became SSA to the Governor in 2011.

“Right now, I’m a member of the Kogi State house of assembly and I’m grateful for the opportunity given to me by my people to serve them and most importantly to the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello who made serving my people so easy.

He thank everyone for their support and encouragement and and further expressed his sincere gratitude.

” as a septuagenarian I would like to inform you all that I won’t be contesting this position as soon as my tenure elapse in order to give way to other energetic and professionally qualified candidates. I hope and pray they serve the people better.

“I once again thank the Governor of Kogi State for his support, his vision and determination in moving the State forward and always helping in national assignments where it matters. Thank you all,” he said.
