I’ve no anointed candidate in Oyo APC – Alao-Akala

A former governor of Oyo state and chairman of All Progressives Congress  (APC) Elders Advisory Council  (EAC) in the state, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala  Tuesday declared that he remained neutral in the activities of the party.

Otunba Alao-Akala stated this in a letter personally signed by him on the final resolution of the prolonged crisis that rocked APC in the state.

The Oyo Elders Advisory Council chairman of the party in the letter dated 21st September, 2020  also vowed to be against imposition in Oyo state APC.

In the letter, he stated that the factional crisis rocking the party has been finally laid to rest, adding that, ” I am glad to inform you officially that this has now become a thing of the past.”

He stated further that: “All differences have been resolved and we have become a very happy, united and common front. All  hatchets have been buried and all groups, bodies and forums have been collapsed into the APC structure. What we have now is APC, Oyo state chapter,” he said.

He added: “Similarly, an EAC has also been put in place with my humble self as head”, saying, “our core responsibilities shall among others include promoting internal cohesion within the party, ensuring fairness and transparency in all activities of the party, maintaining a level playing ground for all, promoting justice and fair play in the party at all levels.”
