I’ve no reason to dump PDP again – Ortom

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has debunked the rumour making rounds that he is plans to dump the Peoples Democratic (PDP) describing it as the handiwork of mischief makers.

Ortom, who made this known in an interview with journalists in Makurdi, said there was no basis for leaving the party, adding that as a card carrying member of the party he has been accommodated and comfortable.

“I have no reason, whatsoever, to leave PDP, the party that re-elect me. I am a card carrying member of this party, I also built the party. I can’t go back to APC, there is no basis for that,” he said.

The governor also warned those peddling rumour on the social media that he has advised the Kogi state Governor. Yahaya Bello, to leave APC for Accord Party to desist from such rumour, stating he doesn’t want to join issues with Kogi politics.

He said, “I don’t know anything about Kogi politics and I have never advised Governor Bello on anything. I am trying to tackle my issues here in Benue and I am yet to even achieve the desired result, how can I jump from here to another state? This is really mischief and I have distance myself with such reports.”
