Jafaru picks Nasarawa guber form

Architect Mohammed Jafaru Ibrahim’s race to succeed Governor Umaru Tanko AlMakura at the Shendam Road Government House, Nasarawa state, effectively kicked off with his picking of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC), over the weekend.
Governor Al-Makura, like any other second term Governor in the country, will be handing over the reign of Nasarawa state to his successor in May 29, 2019 in line with the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).
Arc. Jafaru, who is the current member representing Nasarawa/Toto Federal Constituency, picked his forms over the weekend at the APC’s national secretariat, Abuja.
The lawmaker, who was accompanied to the forms picking ceremony by the leadership and members of his campaign organization, local coordinators and other support groups, assured that he would alter positively the architectural complexion of the state.
It would be recalled that Jafaru voluntarily retired from the services of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) in 2016 after more than three decades to heed to the clarion call of his constituents to represent them at the Green Chamber after the demise of Rep.
Musa Baba Onwana.
The lawmaker holds Masters Degrees in Architecture, Project Management and Business Administration and is also a Fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Architects (FNIA) and member, Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
Jafaru, who was one of those commended by former President Olusegun Obasanjo for ensuring the successful hosting of the Commonwealth Heads of Government (CHOGM) in 2003, holds the traditional title of Sardauna Opanda.
