Jafaru salutes new Turakin Keffi Abdullahi Adamu

The member representing Nasarawa/ Toto Federal Constituency of Nasarawa state in the House of Representatives, Mohammed Jafaru Ibrahim, has congratulated Senator Abdullahi Adamu on his recent conferment with the title of Turakin Keffi by the Emir of Keffi.
Adamu was elevated from the traditional title of Sarkin Yakin Keffi to Turakin Keffi by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Keffi, Dr Shehu Usman Chindo Yamusa III, on August 22, 2018, as part of activities lined up for the celebration of this year’s Eid elKabir in his Palace in Keffi, Nasarawa state.
Ibrahim described the honour on Adamu as “well-deserved,” saying it was a “fitting statement underscoring the gratitude of the people of the Emirate in particular and Nasarawa state in general for his immense contribution to the growth and development of the state and Nigeria.” Ibrahim, who is one of the front runners for the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Party (APC) in the state, also described Adamu as an “illustrious son of Keffi Emirate” whose contributions to the development of the Emirate were everywhere for all to see.
He said Adamu, as the first civilian governor of the state, pioneered the “development strides of the young state to a point that the state became a reference point for other states to look up to.” He also congratulated the people of Keffi Emirate for having Adamu as their son, adding that the senator was a worthy contribution of the Emirate to the nation.
He prayed to Allah (SWT) to grant the new Turakin Keffi “sound health, long life and wisdom to enable him discharge the duties of his office to the satisfaction of all.”
