Management of Jaiz Bank plc over the weekend commissioned its first branch in Dutse, the Jigawa state capital.
Managing Director of the bank, Mallam Hassan Usman announced this in a radio Jigawa special phone in programme.
He said with this development, the bank now has 40 branches nationwide with about one million customers.
Mallam Hassan Usman said Jaiz Bank has N7billion capital base with total assets of over N250 billion.
The MD disclosed that the bank was established in 2012 to assist people to have capital and loan interest.
He said Dutse branch of the bank has a special programme to provide interest-free loans to small and medium scale women entrepreneurs.
Mallam Hassan Usman said the bank is collaborating with Jigawa state government to guarantee loan for workers under the Anchor Borrowers programme of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
He added that the bank also operates Hajj saving scheme for intending pilgrims nationwide.
