Jaiz bank expands to 14 branches

Jaiz Bank Plc, the first full- fledged non-interest bank in Nigeria has increased its branch network to fourteen.
The latest entrant into the bank’s branch network is Kano Kabuga branch which is strategically located within Bayero University and is position to serve both the University community and the ever thriving Kabuga commercial area.
The bank commenced operations with three branches in Abuja, Kaduna and Kano states on the 6th January, 2012, after it received license from the Central Bank of Nigeria on the 11th of November 2011 to operate as a non-interest bank.
Other locations where the bank has branches are Gombe, Maiduguri, Katsina and Gusau (Zamfara state), Bauchi. It has three branches in Abuja, located at Kano House Central Business District, the National Assembly, Wuse District and four in Kano with the addition of Kabuga branch..
A statement from the head, corporate communications of Jaiz Bank, Idris Salihu said more branches will come on board before the end of the year.

“Works are progressively going on in NNPC Abuja, Yola, Zaria and a second branch in Bauchi all of which we hope to commission before the end of the year. Our ultimate objective is to expand nationally so that we are able to bring our unique type banking to a wide majority of Nigerians who are craving for specialized Non-Interest Banking,” he said
He informed that the bank has raised its capital base from the initial N5 billion it started with in 2012 to over N11 billion and is currently working on increasing it by way of right issue.
“Our vision is to be the dominant non-interest financial service provider in Sub Saharan Africa. We intend to achieve this by providing innovative, value-added, non-interest financial services to our clientele by employing the best people, supported by technology.”
