Jamb releases 2014 utme result

—   Blacklists 6 examination centres

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation  Board (JAMB), has announced the release of the result of the three modes of  unified tertiary matriculation examination (UTME),namely paper pencil test, dual based test and the computer based test, held on Saturday April 12th

The registrar of JAMB, Professor Dibu Ojerinde, who addressed the media at the corporate headquarters of the agency in Bwari yesterday, also disclosed that a total of 1,865 centers were used for Paper pencil test, and133 for dual based test.
While providing a breakdown of application by institutions professor Ojerinde said that applicants that chosed universities are topping the list with 885,901applicantions while those applying for polytechnics and colleges of education have 13,761 and 20,558 respectively.

Details of the results shows that 315,401 candidates scored between 170 -199, 275,282 candidates scored below 150 while 108,488candidates scored 200-249 ‘, 24 candidates scored 250 and above, all in the paper pencil test examination.
In the dual based test however, 6,678candidates scored 170-199, while1, 309 scored between 200 and 249
Candidates were further advised to check JAMB websites to download their results and to shun those activities of internet fraudsters who often promise candidates that they can alter grades already awarded by JAMB

‘’The public and the candidates are hereby advised to disregard these fraudsters since they do not have access tour data’’, he said.
Meanwhile, JAMB has blacklisted six examination centers that were involved in exhorting money from candidates during the recently held UTME examination. Two centers were located in Abia state, two in Rivers state and two in Imo state
