Madam Felicia Fatima Nnokwogi Gana, the mother of former presidential political adviser, Professor Jerry Gana, died yesterday at the age of 95 years
Madan Gana, also the mother of a member of the Niger State House Of Assembly representing Lavun constituency, Honourable Jacob Gana, was said to have passed on early morning yesterday at her residence in GRA Bida, Bida local government area of Niger state.
Our reporter gathered that the late Mrs. Gana woke up hale and hearty around 4:30am when the public power failed and instructed her grand children staying with her to change the source of power to generator.
Family sources disclosed that after the generator was put on, she gathered her grand children and engaged them in discussion before she died
It was gathered that her body had been deposited at Minna General Hspital’s Mortuary because the mortuary in Federal Medical Centre Bida and Bida General Hospital are not in good shape.
Speaking on telephone, Prof. Jerry Gana, who was in Lagos, said the news came to him as a shock, adding that his late mother was a dedicated Christian who had committed her life to the service of God.
Her burial date is yet to be announced by the family
