Jigawa CITAD trains youth on responsible behaviour

In order to reduce crime rate to the lowest level in Jigawa state, the Centre for Information and Technology Development (CITAD) has trained hundreds of youth on leadership inspiration and responsiveness.

The centre stated that the youths trained in the series of inspirational leadership lectures in the state are mostly students of secondary schools and higher institutions of learning.

Admonishing the youth at the CITAD’s head office Wednesday in Dutse, Jigawa state capital, a one- time commissioner for women affairs, Hajiya Fatima Widi Jalo commended CITAD on its pragmatic approach to issues bordering youths.

While addressing the youths, she regretted that many are depending on others for their livelihood, hence posing a threat to the future and the state generally.

She called on the youth to work hard and emulate their patriotic elders who laid the solid foundation on which the state is striving.

In his remarks, the acting executive director of CITAD, Alhaji Ahmad Abdullahi Yakasai said, the purpose of organising the lecture is to inspire good leadership behaviour.
