The Provost of College of Education Gumel, Dr Sa’idu Barau Ahmad has been re-instated by the Jigawa state government.
A statement issued by the Director Tertiary Education, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Hajia Safiya Muhammad said the provost was found innocent of any wrong doing.
She said the re-instatement followed the report of the committee set up to investigate the allegations against the provost after meetings held with government officials to resolve the issue.
The statement advised the provost to ensure he run the affairs of the college in accordance with the law establishing the institution and the public service rules and regulations.
He was further advised to continue piloting the affairs of the college in line with the higher institutions’ guidelines in the country.
The provost was suspended few months ago by the state government in view of the allegations filed against him on respect to his office.
