Jigawa Immigration command tasks officers on hard work

The Nigeria Immigration Service, Jigawa state Command has charged newly promoted officers to be dedicated, fear God and exhibit high sense of discipline and commitment in the discharge of their duties.
The state Controller of NIS, Alhaji Garga Abdulakadir Abdul gave the charge during the decoration of newly converted officers of the command in his office yesterday.
“The long awaited conversion is finally a reality.
It is now obvious that the delay has turned out to be a blessing as many grey areas have been well addressed,’’ Abdul stated.
He said a total of 1,392 officers were recently promoted, converted from inspectorate to superintendent cadre by the Civil Defense, Fire Service and Immigration Service Board (CDFIPB).
He said out of this number, Jigawa command has a total number of 24 officers with the following break down; ten Assistant Superintendents , five Senior Inspectors, six Inspectors and three Chief Superintendents of Immigration, respectively.
The Controller, Garba Abdulkadir noted that the Immigration Service expects high sense of discipline, dedication and commitment in the discharge of their duties.
He said recently, over 3,000 men and officers of the Service were promoted, advanced and converted nationwide through the due process.
