Jigawa investing in youth through N- Power, feeding programme – Badaru

Jigawa state Governor, Alhaji Muahmmad Badaru Abubakar has said his administration has invested heavily on youths and children through N-Power aprogramme and school feeding introduced by the federal government and other numerous social investment projects.
The governor made the remarks on the occasion of the swearing in ceremony of Batch ‘B’ Stream 2 corps members in the state at the Yakubu Gowon Permanent Orientation Camp, yesterday.
‘’This administration recognizes the central place of youth in our quest for national restoration and government is working tirelessly to improve the living conditions of the country,’’ he added.
Governor Badaru explained that in its 45 years of existence , the NYSC has impacted positively on the lives of millions of Nigerians, especially in the rural areas, stressing that it has ensured easy mobility of labour to areas where specialized skills were greatly required.
He said the contribution of the NYSC to national development such as general elections, by- election, education health and infrastructural development ,were worthy of note, saying that it has become the fulcrum on which our national unity and integration rests and urged the corps members to pick interest in income skills acquisition and entrepreneurship development training during their three weeks stay in the camp
