Jigawa: Kidnappers of Hajiya Ladi demand N50m ransom

The abductors of Hajiya Ladi, mother of Honourable Yahya Muhammed Bigman, the former Special Adviser to Jigawa state Governor, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar on Politics have demanded for the sum N50 million as ransom.

The media reported that she was abducted by unknown gun men at the early hours of Tuesday.

The development was confirmed by the Jigawa state commissioner of police, Mr Bala Zama Senchi in a telephone call that the kidnappers came in last night and abducted the 70 year-old Hajiya Ladi at her residence in Gaya village, under Danladin Gumel constituency of Suletankarkar local government area of the state.

According to the state police commissioner, several police officers were deployed to the surrounding towns and villages in an effort to locate the hiding place of the abductors.

Senchi said the kidnappers have contacted the family for ransom, but did not mention any figure.

However, sources close to the family revealed that the abductors had demanded for a N50 million ransom.
