Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar has directed the payment of May salary of civil servants in the state, ahead of this year’s Eid-El Fitri celebrations.
The commissioner of finance and economic planning, Alhaji Babangida
Umar Gantsa made this known in Dutse in a telephone interview.
He said the payment of this month’s salary will commence on Tueday, 19th May, 2020.
Alhaji Babangida Umar Gantsa said the directive was to enable
workers in the state , local government and local education authority to enjoy the celebration.
The commissioner said the state Accountant-General has been
instructed to ensure that the salaries are paid Tuesday.
He assured the civil servants of Governor Mohammed Badaru’s commitment to the prompt payment of their salaries in addition to other reforms being introduced to enhance effective
service delivery in the state.
Alhaji Babangida Gantsa called on civil servants to ensure total
compliance with the safety guidelines by the Nigeria Centre for
Disease Control (NCDC) against COVID-19.
