Jigawa police arrest suspected arms dealers

The Commissioner of Police, Jigawa state Command, Usman Tilli Abubakar, has said in order to get rid the state off criminals, two suspected arms dealers had been arrested along Birninkudu, Babaldu, Bauchi road.
Addressing journalists yesterday at the police headquarters, Tilli said his men had arrested one Ema Gwadal from Kanke local government area of Plateau with two locally made pistol revolvers as well as 10 rounds of live ammunition.

He said the suspect made a useful statement leading to the arrest of his friend, Sylvester Gofwen, staying at Tege Village of Kafinhausa local government area of the state whose job was catching dogs.

He added that in the course of investigation, one Emeka Ajilado who is their kingpin in Kano was on the run.
Tilli said the police had also arrested one Haruna Iliya of Fage Quarters in Kano, where a Day-Long brand of motorcycle with registration number QM 486 RGN was recovered from Ibrahim Umar of Maradawa village, Kazaure local government area of Jigawa state.
