The Jigawa state government has been applauded for its measures to prevent the spread of the dreaded coronavirus also known as COVID-19 in the state.
Permanent Commissioner in the state Local Government service Commission, Alhaji Sani Madachi, while speaking to our correspondent on phone on Monday, commended the efforts of the state’s committee on the fight against the scourge.
He specifically thanked the chairman of the committee, Dr. Abba Zakari Umar on the rigorous sensitisaation campaign embarked upon by the committee on ways to mitigate the spread of the disease as well as the provision of hand sanitisers to people.
The commissioner advised people to continue to support and cooperate with the state government by strictly adhering to orders given on the dreaded disease.
In a related development, the deputy treasurer of Miyyatti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACABAN) Jigawa state branch , Alhaji Ya’u Muhammad has called on the cattle breeders who came back from countries prone to coronavirus to quarantine themselves for the period of two weeks and to visit hospitals for tests so as to ascertain their health status.
Muhammad further advised them to always keep their environment clean, wash their hands consistently and commended Guri local government for the provision of drugs for the treatment of ailments in the area.
