‘Jigawa on road to becoming industrial hub’

A kano based industrialist, Alhaji Shittu Sani Marshal, has described Jigawa state as a potential bastion of industrial development under the leadership of Alhaji Badaru Abubakar. Speaking to newsmen in Kano yesterday, Marshal also described therecent official visit paid to the state by President Muhammadu Buhari as a spectacular success and a testimony of Governor Badaru’s resolve to make Jigawa state a formidable bastion of investors’ confidence.
According to him, no economy in the world could ever develop at an appreciable pace without industries booming to sustain the tempo, adding that, having the much needed potentials to forge ahead, Jigawa is on the road to attaining the height of greatness.
He said there was the compelling need for a clear paradigm shift in the way some governors were paying lip service to the agricultural sector, being the main stay of any promising economy, affirming that the stance taken by Governor Badaru to woo investors into the state would be the best way to survive under the prevailing economic mess.
He pointed out that the craze for industrial development would never be realistic if the potentials for foreign investment were neglected stressing that with governor Badaru on the move, the objective would be achieved.
