Jigawa spends N1.8bn on Dutse road network

Jigawa state government has said it has spent about N1.8 billion in the construction of road network at Mobile Base, Yalwawa and Sabuwar Takur Quarters in Dutse metropolis.

Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar announced this during the commissioning ceremony of the project performed by Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state.

Badaru Abubakar said similar roads were constructed in rural and urban areas in the state as part of the present administration’s commitment to providing basic social amenities to the people.

In a welcome address, the state Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engineer Aminu Usman Gumel said the present administration had constructed 19 regional, five feeder and township roads in 13 local government areas.

Commissioning the project, Waziri Tambuwal congratulated Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar for executing a number of capital projects in the state.

The ceremony was attended by the state deputy governor, Malam UmarNamadi, Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Nuhu Muhamamdu Sunusi and  hundreds of supporters.
