Join me to develop Adamawa, Fintiri tells APC, others

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has adviced the opposition in the state, especially the All progressive Congress (APC) to join him and his administration to develop the state and what responsible leadership entails to move Adamawa forward instead of sponsoring hoodlums to destroy it’s common wealth.

The governor stated this in an interview with journalists in Yola at the weekend after an inspection tour of some projects sites awarded by his administration where he expressed satisfaction with the speed and guality of work in all the sites visited.
He further said the projects were in line with his administration’s agenda and passion for the development of Adamawa.
Fintiri said since since he came on board, he has been working round the clock to fulfill his promises to the people and ensure that Adamawa state, catch up with other states in the country, and that no amount of distraction  by opposition, and those who did not wish the state well will distract him from moving the state forward.

“I have been working round the clock to fulfilled my promises to the people who trusted and voted me into office, and who I’m working for in this state. Their interest is paramount and the collective interest of the state so that we can work together for the overall development of Adamawa state and compete with other states in the country in terms of development.
“So I have been matching my words with actions in ensuring that we catch up with other states in the country or even surpass them  and make Adamawa one of the best states in the northern parts of the country and we are doing that. My only call was for the opposition to stop being desperate for power. They have already lost it so they should stop sponsoring and instigating hoodlums to destroy the common wealth of the state.

“They should come and join us to see what concept of development under this administration and responsible leadership entails. They should come and join us to see what public funds means and how we are putting the best of public funds to the best of our state. They should come and join us to go round our projects to see what they failed to do when they are in power and what we are using the public funds for.
According to him, he has already put the incidence of the past few weeks behind him since the perpetrators have reali8zed their mistakes and regretted their actions hence the need for the state to move forward.
The governor said very soon, he will also embark on another round of people oriented projects in the state which would also includs massive constructions and rehabilitation of schools across the 21 local governments.
