Jonathan created peaceful atmosphere for Nigeria – Bodejo

The national President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a Fulani socio-cultural association, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, has commended President Goodluck Jonathan for creating atmosphere for peace to reign in the country after admitting defeat in the recently conducted presidential election.

Speaking with journalist in Abuja, Bodejo said that President Jonathan had, by that action, laid a permanent peace and unity foundation in Nigeria and the whole of African countries.

“For President Goodluck Jonathan to be bold by conceding defeat, he has created a permanent love, peace and unity among Nigerians. He has joined the Muslims and Christians together, including Ibo, Yoruba and Hausa/Fulanis. He has done what other Head of states could not do and he has, forever become a hero of Nigeria democracy,” Bodejo said.

The group leader congratulated the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) for his victory, promising to mobilise its members to corporate with him for the progress of Fulani and other ethnic groups in the country.

Bodejo further called on its members to follow the winds of change, adding that Buhari had created history in the world by defeated the incumbent President and urged him to select the best into his administration.

He, however, commended the chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attairu Jega, for his wisdom in handling the presidential election, urging the commission to maintain it forever.

The Fulani leader also applauded the efforts of security agencies for their role played during the presidential election, calling on them to double their efforts during the next coming governorship elections, as they have made the country proud.
