President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday had a closed-door meeting with the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Sanusi, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), was at the State House in company of some elders from Kano state.
He met the president about two hours before he departed for the headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to pick the presidential nomination form to seek reelection in 2015.
The Emir declined to take questions from State House correspondents.
