Jonathan meets IBB behind closed doors

Former President Goodlock Ebele Jonathan quietly visited Minna yesterday and held a closed door meeting with former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida at his uphill residence He was said to have arrived Minna by road riding in a black Prado jeep accompanied by five other black Prado jeeps.
One of the jeeps was said to have been occupied by security operatives.
He was at the hill top residence of General Babangida at about 10.24am and he immediately entered into what a source described as ” a private meeting” with the former military president.
A source at the residence of Babangida disclosed that a gubernatorial aspirant contesting for the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger state, Alhaji Hanafi Muazu Sudan accompanied former president Jonathan on the visit.
The source said that the aspirant rode in the same car from Abuja to Minna with Jonathan.
The ex President sat on the right back seat while Hanafi Sudan sat on the seat behind the driver.
The meeting reportedly lasted close to two hours.
The former president drove out of Minna at about 12.47pm.
Details of the discussion were not known.
But the presence of Hanafi Sudan at the discussion fueled speculations that it would not be unconnected with the gubernatorial primaries of the PDP in the state since Hanafi Sudan is a governorship aspirant in the state It was also learnt that during the visit, former military president Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida sent for some leaders of the PDP in the state and among them was the state chairman, Alhaji Tanko Beji and former governor, Muazu Babangida Aliyu.
The last time former president Goodluck Jonathan was in Minna was on October 17, 2017, a few days to the PDP national convention.
