Jonathan, service chiefs hold security meeting

President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday had a closed-door meeting with heads of security agencies and some ministers ahead of the May handing over date.
Presidency sources said the meeting also discussed security situation in the northeast and the fate of the abducted Chibok school girls.
The meeting was also attended by Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Pius Anyim, National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd).

Others were Attorney-General of the Federation, Muhammed Bello Adokie; Minister of Defence, General Aliyu Gusau (rtd); Minister of Interior, Abba Moro and the Minister of Police Affairs, Abduljelili Adesiyan.
The Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh; Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Kenneth Minimah; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Usman Jibrin; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Adesola Amosu; and the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Suleiman Abba, were also at the meeting.
