Jonathan visits Gov Bala, sympathises with him over brother’s death

Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on Friday visited the Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed, to condole with him over the death of his elder brother, Bappa Duguri.

Jonathan, who was in company of Rev. John Kennedy Opara, a one-time executive secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), and Bawa Ishaku paid tribute to the late Yeriman Duguri.

He said his death was “a huge loss, not to Bauchi state, his immediate family, but the entire country because of his selfless service to the nation and humanity.”

The former president prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant the soul of the Bappa eternal rest and the fortitude to the immediate family to bear the loss.

Responding, Governor Mohammed thanked the former president for the visit, saying it was indeed an honour to him and his family.
