June 12: CSOs holds procession amid tight security in Osun


The Osun Civil Society Coalition Saturday held procession in celebration of June 12 almost two kilometers to the government house, Osogbo. 


The CSOs had gathered at Okefia junction as early as 8am, carrying placards of various inscription such as “Save Nigeria from Sinking,” “We Want Change in Nigeria”, “Resign If You Are Tired Buhari,” “Restructure Nigeria Now’, among others. 


The activists who were heavily monitored by policemen, Civil Defense Corps, Amotekun cadets, chanted various anti-government songs to demand good living of Nigerians. 


Meanwhile, panic kept people inside as major streets in Osogbo, the state capital, were deserted until around 9am when some motorcyclists and intra-city buses started going out. 


Shops were firmly closed while soldiers and DSS move round to forestall breakdown of law.
