Samuel Kalu scored first for Super Eagles while Mothiba equalized for Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
Nigeria have not featured at Africa Cup of Nations back-to-back – 2015 and 2017.
And so, Africa’s most populous country have returned to AFCON for the first time since 2013.
