KACRAN condemns Numan LGA killings

Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has condemned the Numan killings and called for its thorough investigation.
A press statement signed by the national president of the association, Hon. Khalil Muhammad Bello, and made available to journalists in Damaturu the Yobe state capital, yesterday, called for immediate and thorough investigation into the killings in order to avoid breakdown of law and order in the area in the future.
“We endorse a clarion call for timely and thorough investigation into the Numan killings with a view to bringing to book all those involved in this most brutal act of barbarism.
“This dastardly act is regrettable, highly unacceptable and condemnable,” the statement said.
While commiserating with the families of the deceased, KACRAN called on all the tiers of government to begin to consider these incessant clashes and violence between herdsmen and farmers all over the country as a national concern that should be promptly addressed.
KACRAN president congratulated the Lamido of Adamawa, Alhaji Muhammadu Barkindo on the commissioning of his radio station, “the Pulaaku FM” in Yola, which he said will help in educating, informing, sensitising and entertaining the Fulani and other Nigerians.
The association commended Governor Ibrahim Gaidam of Yobe state for distributing cows freely to returning Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Gujba and Gulani local government areas of the state to restore back their means of livelihood after the long period of insurgency.
