Kaduna assembly adopts c’ttee report on 2014 appropriation Kaduna state House of Assembly yesterday adopted the report presented by the Committee on Appropriation and Implementation for 2014 budget. Presenting the report, the chairman, Committee on Appropriation and Implementation, Mr. Joshua Barde, said the assembly had mandated them to conduct an in-depth secreting of the 2014 budget proposal “according to the provision of section 121 sub-section of the 1999 constitution.” He said the sum of over N131.3billon would be spent as the capital expenditure as against the N124.4 billion as earlier submitted, while over N69.6 billion would be for the recurrent expenditure as against N74.2billion as earlier presented. He added that the budget tagged, Budget of Peace and Continuity, was based on the determination to ensure that the administration was able to present the dividends of democracy. The members commended the efforts of the committee for a good presentation.
