Kaduna Assembly okays N55bn 2018 budget for 23 LGs

The 23 local government areas of Kaduna state are to spend over N55.9 billion in 2018.
The state Assembly okayed the fiscal estimate yesterday when the councils appeared before the Committee on Appropriation to defend its budget for the year.
The sum of over N34.8 billion will be spent as recurrent , representing 62.24 per cent of the budget while the sum of over N 21.1 billion was voted as the , representing 37.7 per cent of the total budget.
Chairman House committee on Appropriation, Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed while speaking with news men shortly after the budget defence, commended the conduct of the defence.
Blueprint reports that the 23 local government Sole Administrators defended the budget with Lere local having the highest budget size of over N3 billion. Kudan got the lowest budget size of over N1 billion.
