Kaduna state House of Assembly has passed into law the bill for a law to establish Kaduna state Christians Pilgrim Welfare Board law 2013.
The Bill, which emanated from the Executive, was aimed at repositioning the board for efficient operation and also in carrying out the activities of the Christians pilgrimage.
Our correspondent gathered that sequel to its development the board is expected to be more vibrant and effective in discharging its primary responsibilities in line with the present democratic set up.
The purpose of the law is to repeal Edit, No2 of the 1994 and established the Kaduna state Christians pilgrims Welfare Board in order to ensure successful execution of Christian pilgrimage,
“Outside Nigeria and to provide assistance and guidance to the pilgrims registered with the board.   The bill also seeks to repeal edit No 2 of the 1994 that establish the board during the military regime.”
Blueprint reports that the board consists of the chairman who shall be an ordained Christian priest.
