Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KEDC) has adopted a new corporate name and logo for the company.
A statement issued by the head, corporate communication, Abdulazeez Abdullahi, in Kaduna yesterday said the company would now be known as Kaduna Electric (KE) and had adopted an improved, redesigned lower case letter ‘K.’

He explained that the letter symbolises the company’s renewed commitment to customer satisfaction.
He also informed that the brand identity change was aimed at signalling a radical shift from the inefficiencies that characterised how the defunct NEPA/PHCN used to operate.

He further disclosed in the that the brand relaunch was one in a series of strategic initiatives that the management of the company had put in place to ensure a complete turnaround in the operations of the business.
He said the new brand identity, already on display at the corporate head office of the company, would be formally launched at a date to be announced soon.

The new owners of Kaduna Electric took ownership of the company in December last year after satisfying all the requirements set out by the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) for the sale of the unbundled distribution companies (Discos) from the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN).
