Kaduna: El-Rufai relaxes Kajuru curfew

The Kaduna state government on Friday relaxed the 24-hour curfew in Kajuru local government area of the state.

According to a terse statement signed by Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr Samuel Aruwan, and made available to Blueprint in Kaduna on Friday, the curfew hours are now from 7pm to 6am.  

The government decision stemmed from a Kaduna State Security Council review of the security situation in the local government area. 

Aruwan said, “the Kaduna state government on Friday relaxed the 24-hour curfew in Kajuru local Government. The curfew hours are now 7pm to 6am with effect from today, Friday, 10th May 2019. 

“The decision to relax the curfew follows a Kaduna State Security Council review of the security situation in the local government area. 

“Government appeals to all residents and communities to do their utmost to uphold peace and harmony,” Aruwan said.
