Kaduna Electric interviews candidates for jobs

Kaduna Electric has interviewed candidates for various job openings in the company.
Blueprint gathered that the four-day interviews for external candidates, which began on Friday, July 3, lasted till Tuesday, last week, and was followed by that of supporting staff that are being given the opportunity to secure permanent appointments.

A statement issued in Kaduna by the Head, Corporate Communication, Abdulazeez Abdullahi, said external candidates invited for the interviews were those that passed the aptitude test held last month, while the supporting staff, along with internal candidates, were to be assessed through a combination of the aptitude test, the interviews and the a performance evaluation process.
The statement said the interviews for the external candidates and the supporting staff were conducted in Kaduna and Sokoto centres.

It added that over about 6,000 candidates were shortlisted for the first stage interview from the over 9,000 that sat for the aptitude tests.
It said external candidates based in Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbi states were interviewed at Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto, while those in other parts of the country were being interviewed in Kaduna.
“Additionally, many graduates from National Power training institute that graduated with merit were also invited for interview,” it said.

All Internal candidates that sat for aptitude test were invited for interview at various locations in Kaduna, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara states
The statement further said the first stage interview would be followed by a second stage interview for senior positions before successful candidates emerge.

It added that Kaduna Electric “covers Kaduna, Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara, about 80% of the candidate interviewed “comes from the Northern part of the country and are largely young graduates and technicians that are eager to make impact and apply their skills in the field.”
