Kaduna health agency vows to focus on health supplies quality assurance

The new Executive Secretary of Kaduna State Health Supplies Management Agency (KADHSMA), Aisha Tukur Isyaku, has pledged to focus on improving quality assurance systems for all health supplies, procured and distributed in the state.
Speaking when she formally assumed office as the Executive Secretary of the agency,  Aisha Tukur Isyaku, a pharmacist, assured staff of the agency and residents of the state that all health supplies in the state will be in accordance with the regulatory compliance for safety, efficiency and rational use by end users.
According to Aisha, generating, collecting validating and managing distribution and providing data on health supplies, logistics and supply chain for use in the state will be another area of priority during her tenure.
She promised to vigorously pursue training and capacity development programmes on health supply chain management in public health institutions in the state for staff and residents of the state alike. 
The Executive Secretary however sought the support of all personnel “to ensure that the Agency regulate and coordinate all health supply chain operations in the state in line with our mandate. We will ensure that our zonal office in each of the three senatorial zones are up and doing to the benefits of the citizens.”
KADHSMA was established in 2018 to manufacture, select, quantify, source, store and distribute  health supplies to end users through the health institutions in the state, or such health institutions as may be approved by the state Commissioner for health.
