‘Kaduna’s COVID-19 palliatives shared in Jema’a LGA’

 The Kaduna state COVID-19 palliative was distributed to the most vulnerable persons in Jema’a local government area of Kaduna state, the Accountant-General, Kaduna state, Mrs. Shizer Bada has said.                 While flagging-off the distribution of the items to the 12 political wards of the LG in Kafanchan Tuesday, she said the distribution committee members comprised of a traditional ruler, two religious leaders, women and youth organisations and representatives who were responsible for identifying and selection of the beneficiaries regardless of religion, tribe and party affiliations.

Shizer stated that the government of the day has everyone at heart, and reiterated its readiness to enact innovations that reflects the yearnings and aspirations of the people by carrying everybody along.

She said in a move to ensure strict compliance to the selection of the most vulnerable, she led a committee that went round all the 12 wards in the local government, to supervise the selection.                  

Also speaking, the party chairman, APC, Jema’a local government, Alhaji. Ibrahim Koli expressed gratitude to God for the way and manner the people of the area conducted themselves without chaos associated to the distribution of the palliatives, compared to the way other people in several areas broke down law and order to loot their palliatives.

Koli also commended security personnel and especially the youth in the area of Kafanchan in particular, for securing the palliatives that actualised achieving peaceful and successful distribution.

He said  the items distributed included : 6000 cartons of noodles, 3000 bag’s of 10 kg rice, 3000 cartons of spaghetti, 3000 bags of 1 kg sugar, 3000 bags of Maize flour, 5 kg and 3000 bags of 1 kg salt.
