Kafanchan catholic diocese gets new bishop

The Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan in Kaduna state weekend got a new bishop. He is  Reverend Julius Yakubu Kundi, who becomes the second bishop of the Diocese after the demise of Reverend Joseph Danlami Bagobiri.

Ordaining the new bishop at a grand ceremony which took place at the Kafanchan new township stadium during the weekend, the Apostle Nuncho to Nigeria, His Grace, Most Reverend Antonio Guido Filipazzi stated that the Catholic Church in Nigeria is one body and it is completely depended on the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Apostle Nuncho said nobody should consider himself Lord in any setting against which backdrop he admonished the new bishop to lead according to the life and teachings of Christ.

While congratulating and blessing the new bishop, he appealed to all Catholic members to give the new bishop their unflinching support to enable him discharge his duties successfully.

In a good will message at the occasion, the president, Catholic Bishops Association of Nigeria, Most Reverend, Augustine Abiora Akubeze on behalf of all Bishops, welcomed the newly ordained bishop to their association.

He assured him of their readiness to proffer assistance to him anytime the need arises, and urged him to have a personal relationship and itenary with Christ, owing to the fact that the closer one is with Christ, the closer they are to solve their problems.

Earlier in his address, the new bishop, said his ordination was an act of God who does his things anytime he likes, and he has accepted the task with the message of absolute peace in his heart.
