Kagarko LG officials to sacrifice 20% salaries, allowances

Kagarko council chairman, Hon. Nasara A. Rabo, his vice and the entire council members have unanimously resolved to sacrifice 20 percent of their salaries and allowances, henceforth.
According to a statement issued yesterday and made available to newsmen in Kaduna, the decision to make the sacrifice was basically to help make funds available for development projects.
According to the statement the available funds would be channelled into beneficial developmental projects in the local government area.
The statement, which was signed by Comrade Godwin Shehu Magaji, Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Chairman, Kagarko Local Government, said the decision is to take immediate effect.
The statement further reiterated the council’s commitment to embark on projects that would have direct positive impact on the people regardless of party, religion or tribal affiliations.
Towards this end, the council has solicited the cooperation of all and sundry in the quest to deliver dividends of democracy to the people now and always.
Also, he expressed the decision of the council chairman to operate an open door policy, stressing that any idea or suggestions that will help uplift the local government will be appreciated
