Kano approves N159m for rehabilitation of almajiri boarding schools

Kano state Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru, has expressed satisfaction with the level of renovation, construction and provision of facilities at the 3rd brand new almajiri integrated boarding schools in the state.

Speaking along with   the Commissioner of Information, Garba Mohmmed, when the duo led a   media team on an  inspection  visit  to the 3rd brand new almajiri schools at  Kanwa in Madobi local government,  Bunkure in Bunkure local government and Kiyawa in Bagwai local government areas, respectively.

He  said  the state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as a result of his last inspection visit to the schools approved the released N159 million for total rehabilitation of the 3 schools.

He said the rehabilitation exercise comprises the provision of electricity generating sets, connecting the schools with national grid, construction of mosques, sinking of boreholes and provision of mattresses among other renovations.
