National Chairman/former Presidential Candidate of the National Action Council (NAC), Dr Olapade Agoro, has said those behind last Friday’s blast at the Kano Central Mosque “are evils” that must be “discovered and destroyed soonest possible if peace must reign” in Nigeria.
Agoro in a chat with journalists in Ibadan on the Kano blast declared that “this is not the time for further rhetorical speech but well planned actions to address causative effects with coordinated preventive measures put in place.”
According to him, it is glaring by now that those behind the terror attacks in some parts of the Northern Nigeria are “neither Muslims nor Christians but intemperate animals simply after blood let”.

He said: “It hurts to the bone marrow to know that once again Friday, November 28, 2014, barely 24 hours after President Goodluck Jonathan and some other African leaders rose from a summit on Boko haram insurgents, the agents of darkness, horror masterminds unleashed terror on Kano Central Mosque bomb blasts during conduct of an expectedly peaceful Jumat service killing not less than 300 faithful and left maimed hundred others. It is no doubt an highly condemnable desecration of an holy place of worship with a message carriage that those who carried out the dastard acts are neither Muslims and or Christians, but intemperate animals simply after blood let.”
Agoro pointed out that the Kano Central Mosque blast “must be seen as clear signal of shockingly twisted façade of religious fundamentalists entering the runway of generalised hate against just anybody in Nigeria irrespective of religious beliefs and divides.”

The NAC leader declared that the time has come for the law enforcement agencies in the country to beam search lights “on the known and identified angry politicians and in particular the seemingly untouchable religious and community leaders, if the nation must be freed from the orgy of incessant blood let by the messengers of hate.”
Emphasising that “this is not the time for further rhetorical speech making on spill milk but well planned actions to address cause effects with coordinated preventive measures put in place,” Agoro said; “this latest orgy of violence unleashing on the conscience of the nation, sadly brought to mind past sorrow landmine events of April 15 2012 at Sabon Gari bomb blast, March 18, 2013 Kano Bus terminus Bomb blast and July 29 Sabon Gari Bomb blast respectively through which innocent citizens were sent to their early graves.”
