Kano commissioner hails NMA for support to health sector

The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, has commended the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Kano state branch, for their support and cooperation towards improving the health sector in the state.

He enjoined them to continue to rally round the administration of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

Tsanyawa made the commendation Friday when he received the executive council members of the Association in his office.

He said the union was one of the strongest partners in progress and counselled them to continue to collaborate with the state in the consolidation of the achievements in the health sector.

The commissioner also received the staff and management of the state’s agency for the control of aids (SACA), Primary Health Care Management Board and Hospitals management Board on a similar visit.

Earlier, in his remarks, the chairman, Nigerian Medical Association, Mano branch, Dr. Sunusi Bala, said they were at the commissioner’s office to congratulate him for the victory as a commissioner and to also intimate him about the plans to host the national medical council in Kano.
