The governor of Kano state, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed grief over the death of Bebeji local government chairman, Alhaji Sani Kanti Ranka.
Alhaji Sani died last Friday night after a brief illness.
This was contained in a statement signed by the press secretary to the deputy governor, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, on behalf of the state Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Gwarzo, who is also the commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, described the death as “deeply painful and a huge loss, not only to his immediate family but to the entire state and the nation.”
He further described late Sani Kanti as a peaceful man with wealth of experience in politics and service to the people.
The governor prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus.
