Kano state Governor, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has distributed laboratory equipment worth N1 billion to post primary institutions across the state.
Distributing the equipment at a special ceremony which attracted eminent personalities who converged on Kano Government House to witness it, the governor said the initiative was in fulfillment of his administration resolve to produce qualified medical doctors for the state, adding that “government is poised to spend available resources at its disposal in propelling the education sector to greater heights.”
According to him, no responsible government would risk to neglect education and that all that the government is doing is in the best interest of the common man.

He said: “My mission on education is clear.  Kano is ready to compete with every state in the country as far as boosting the education sector is concerned.  I am averse to making empty promises that would never see the light of the day.”
He charged the benefitting schools to consider the issue of maintenance culture as paramount, and warned that sabotaging government effort in a democratic setting would be inimical to the well-being of the common man.
