Kano guber: We’re not afraid of tribunal, APC Chieftain tells PDP

A chieftain of All Progressives Congress(APC) in Kano, Alhaji Musa Danbirni has said there was nothing the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) can do to scare the ruling party “in the name of filing petition at the election petition tribunal”.

Speaking to Newsmen in Kano on Thursday, Danbirni stated that it was normal for a party to lodge a petition at the election tribunal at any time it felt aggrieved after the election.

According to him, the mandate given to governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for the second term had demonstrated the fact that he had worked tirelessly in re-positioning Kano on a promising pedestal to the chagrin of his critics.

He said the giant strides he had effected in the last four years, had almost touched all spheres of human endeavour.

Danbirmi however, stated that filing petition at the election petition tribunal, would only expose the crass myopia and miscalculation of those who still believed that they can retrieve the mandate given to the incumbent governor by over one million voters in Kano, saying, “the governor has nothing to fear in the face of the rantings of his critics.”
