Kano Poly boss clears air on credentials

Rector of Kano State Polytechnic, Prof. Yusuf Al-Hassan, has clarified on the controversy surrounding his credentials.
Al-Hassan made the clarification in a statement he issued at the weekend.
The statement said: “It is on this note that I would like to present to you the true and certified copies of all my credentials and my Professorship award to clear myself from the alleged doubtfulness of my academic and Professional competence.”
“I also crave the indulgence of the White Paper Committee to re-visit polytechnic to verify other accusation of irregularities against me before their final draft of recommendations.
“Let me also use this medium to urge the entire polytechnic community to remain calm and continue with the good work of enhancing the educational development of Kano state to compliment the effort of His Excellency, the governor of Kano state, Engr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.”
“I was appointed Rector of Kano State Polytechnic after 29 years’ sojourn in the United States as a former lecturer of the Polytechnic; I was dismayed by the prevailing infrastructural decay, academic and professional inadequacies which I intend to rectify. I certainly admit that at the beginning I unfortunately met and worked with wrong people and advisors whom I later discovered to be self-centered and fraudulent.”
