Kano re-affirms commitment to tertiary institutions

Kano state government has re-affirmed commitment to enhance the standard of the tertiary institutions in the state.

The Commissioner for Higher Education, Dr Muhammad Tahar Adam, stated this recently while addressing the leadership of tertiary institutions in his office.

He said the Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje administration was committed to solving problems in the institutions “especially the settlement of casual staff allowance, provision of adequate accommodations and theater halls after the general elections.”

The commissioner commended the leaders of the all tertiary institutions for their commitment in uplifting the standard of the institutions.

The leaders of the tertiary institutions at the meeting included the rector, Kano State Polytechnic; provosts of Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education, Kumbotso, Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies, and College of Arts Science, Tudun wada.

Others were provosts of Audu Bako College of Agriculture and that of Kano State  College of Education & Preliminary Studies.
