Kano setting the pace in immunization drive – Ganduje

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has described Kano as a leading pace setter in the immunization drive.

 In a speech he delivered during MEN A Vaccine introduction into routine immunization held at the Palace of the Danadalan Bichi and the District Head of Tofa in Kano State Monday, Ganduje said the vaccine was to be simultaneously administered once along with yellow fever, measles.

According to him, his administration was fully committed to providing adequate and qualitative health care to the people of Kano stressing that such a giant stride was achieved as result of his administration’s commitment to single funding of routine immunization to the tune of over N400m in the current fiscal year.

Ganduje who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji however stated that his administration had continued with the sponsorship of students and various cadres of health care workers to study health and health care related courses within and outside Nigeria.
