Kano state Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC), has finally fixed February 10,2018 for election into all the 44 local government councils in the state.
Speaking to newsmen on the time table designed to give specifications on the programmes to be followed on a case by case basis, chairman of Kano state Independent Electoral Commission, Prof. Garba Ibrahim Sheka, said sensitisation visit to all the 44 local government areas and publicity campaign was slated to start on November 13, 2017 to December 25, 2017.
According to him, the distribution of election guide lines and notification of polling centres was fixed to begin on 17th November to December 1, 2017 while verification of candidates by the Commission and submission of names was billed to begin on 16th December to 23rd, December, 2017.
He, however, stated that publication of names of eligible candidates would start from 1st to February 2, 2018, while declaration of results would be made on February 12, 2018.
