Kante is worth two players alone, says Lineker

Gary Lineker has hailed France ace N’Golo Kante as the player of the tournament for the Russia World Cup, ahead of the final showdown against Croatia.
Kante has been an ever-present in the France midfield, as the club surged to the final of the competition in impressive fashion.
The Chelsea man has formed a solid axis alongside Premier League rival Paul Pogba, and Lineker has been taking note of his impressive and selfless performances.
‘N’Golo has been for me, until now, the player of this World Cup.
He is not necessarily the type that we will notice or who will seek to put forward,’ Lineker told French publication L’Equipe on the eve of the final.
‘He is a player in the service of the players.
With Kanté, France plays at twelve.
He is worth two midfielders alone.
He is everywhere.
‘His pass quality is excellent and he crosses the lines.
He projects himself forward.
Frankly, it’s a big plus to have a Kante on your team,’ Lineker added.
France are bidding to add another star to their national shirt and lift the famous trophy for a second time.
Les Bleus’ solo victory in the competition came in 1998, when they triumphed upon home turf to be declared world champions.
Standing in their way in Moscow is a Croatia side who have never been to an international final.
